The opening of the January transfer market is still well over a month away but that hasn’t stopped the reports across the papers.
Chelsea have been linked with several players as you would expect, the recent approach to the market has allowed anything to sound believable given the mass sums of money spent.
It seems like Clearlake and Todd Boehly are ready to open up the chequebook once again as Chelsea have been strongly linked with Nigeria and Napoli centre forward, Victor Osimhen.
According to The Telegraph, the club are set to make Osimhen a ‘primary target’ with an asking price expected to be upwards of £100m. Chelsea have already broken the £100m bracket twice in 2023 and it looks like Chelsea will have to enter that territory again in 2024.
Osimhen has scored 6 league goals in 9 appearances so far this season as well as scoring 26 goals in Serie A last season. Tension has risen in recent months as Napoli’s head of TikTok appeared to mock Osimhen over a missed penalty. To further fuel speculation, Osimhen has recently appeared on a podcast hosted by former blue, John Obi Mikel.
