Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea were left sweating during last nights classic between Brazil & Argentina as Enzo Fernandez was in action.

The match was scheduled to take place at 12.30am in the UK but kick off was delayed until 1am due to violent scenes in the crowd between Argentina fans and Brazil police.

The game was eventually won by Argentina as a NicolΓ‘s Otamendi header midway through the 2nd half separated the sides, a game which saw 42 fouls across 90 minutes.

As the dust has settled from last nights game, Chelsea midfielder, Enzo Fernandez has sent the people of Argentina a message following last nights disturbing scenes publishing on his X account the following;

“We made history again!!! Happy to achieve this unforgettable victory in my first classic. What happened to the people is a shame, something that happens constantly in this country and cannot happen again. That’s why I wanted to dedicate this victory to all the people who had a bad time yesterday because of others. This is for you and for all the people in Argentina who encourage us every day. And thanks to this group that fills me with pride, who once again won one of those games that people will never forget.”

Chelsea will be hoping Enzo is fit and ready to take on Newcastle as the sides meet on Saturday.
