After last week’s robbery at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano in Madrid. Chelsea returned to winning ways in the second group game of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, securing a 4-1 victory.
After group rivals Hacken stunned Real Madrid earlier in the day, tonights game had slightly more pressure as well as an opportunity to pull away in group D from the rest of the pack. Chelsea took the lead on the half hour mark through Sam Kerr but were pegged back just 8 minutes later as Paris FC equalised.
Chelsea were quick to regain the lead as Sam Kerr found her 2nd just three minutes into the second half. 2-1 became 3-1 just seven minutes later as Sam Kerr secured her hat-trick. Chelsea rounded off the night with a late goal via Sophie Ingle as the game ended 4-1, a victory that sends Chelsea three points clear of Real Madrid.
