The good news keeps on coming for Chelsea fans and the injury worries are starting to be lifted with constant progression within the injury department.
With Nkunku and Lavia close to being available for selection as well as Colwill and Gusto dodging injury scares the injury report could be the shortest we have seen for a while.
The biggest shock and surprise is tonight’s development that Wesley Fofana has resumed training back out on the grass. Fofana who cost the club roughly £70m back in August 2022 has made just 15 league appearances and hasn’t played since the final day of the season in the 1-1 draw with Newcastle.

Returning to the grass is just another step on a long road to recovery so it is still expected Fofana will have someway to go. Fofana returning is a massive boost for Pochettino as his squad continues to be assembled.
One slight worry that will have to be considered is that with Fofana’s soon arrival, it will continue to inflate squad numbers as Chelsea already have Silva, Disasi, Badiashile & Colwill in that department of the pitch as well as Chalobah who is sidelined. I wouldn’t want to be Pochettino needing to keep that department satisfied with game time especially with no European football.
